The leadership team carries more than four decades of New York mechanical contracting experience and an operating partnership dating back to 2010.
Peter Montana, Founder and President
Peter Montana has spent more than forty years in the mechanical trades and is the founder, owner, and president of Mountain Mechanical NY. Across four-plus decades of trade leadership, his focus has been the same: building disciplined mechanical operations capable of executing complex, high-stakes work in New York’s most demanding environments. He runs Mountain Mechanical NY around a hand-picked leadership team that includes his long-tenure operating partner of more than fifteen years and a senior hands-on field principal who joined the team in 2021.
Hemraj Singh, Vice President
Hemraj Singh brings more than two decades of hands-on mechanical experience across the Greater New York market, with a career built on the execution, commissioning, and delivery of complex HVAC and plumbing systems. His background reflects a progression through the trades, from field installation to supervisory and executive-level leadership, supporting both large-scale construction projects and advanced service operations.
Educated through the New York City vocational system, Hemraj developed a strong foundation in the mechanical trades early in his career. He advanced through key roles with established contractors including The Pace Companies, Rose Mechanical, and LTB Mechanical, gaining extensive experience in system installation, coordination, and project execution across high-demand urban environments.
His project portfolio includes major developments such as Bronx Point, 25 Park Row, The Crown, Kaufman Studios, and Olympia Dumbo, where he has been directly responsible for field execution, crew management, and maintaining production efficiency under strict project schedules. These projects required a high level of coordination between multiple trades, adherence to engineered design, and the ability to deliver systems in accordance with both performance expectations and construction timelines.
In addition to large-scale construction work, Hemraj has played a critical role in complex system commissioning, service methodology, and operational oversight. At One Domino Square, he has been directly involved in commissioning, service execution, and full back-of-house mechanical operations, including establishing service methodologies, overseeing system performance, coordinating diagnostic efforts, and ensuring all mechanical systems operate in accordance with manufacturer specifications and real-world building demands.
He maintains multiple industry certifications, including torch use, fire guard safety, confined space operations, and aerial lift operation, ensuring full compliance with New York City safety standards and regulatory requirements.
At Mountain Mechanical NY, Hemraj serves as a key operational leader, bridging field execution with company standards. He is instrumental in integrating construction delivery with forensic service practices, ensuring that all work, whether installation, commissioning, or corrective service, is performed in alignment with manufacturer best practices and the company’s commitment to accountability, transparency, and performance.
Richard Roman, Principal and Officer of the Corporation
Richard Roman is a Principal and Officer of the Corporation and serves as the senior hands-on operations and service lead in the field. He functions as the on-the-ground point of accountability across active projects, with direct trade depth and the ability to step into any service or installation challenge personally. He brings deep field-level trade experience together with the operating standards Peter Montana has built across forty-plus years in the trade.
